Photographer’s Note

When speaking of Seraing it is often a steel but we forget that it also has a beautiful forest.
Forest Seraing is a long strip of forest on the upper right side of the Meuse valley. This area includes wooded Seraing on the forest of the undivided Vecquée (673 ha), the common lands of the Abbey and the Val Saint-Lambert (75 ha), the Bois de la Marchandise Domanial (86 ha) and the Wood is private Rognac (40 ha).

The forest extends into the territories of neighboring municipalities to the west, Forest Tornaco, also known as the Bois de Neuville, on the common Neupré (Part Neuville-en-Condroz) and Bois de Rognac on the town Flémalle of (part-Ivoz Ramet).

South-east is the Bois de Plainevaux on common Neupré. Some refer to this set, sometimes use the term "Great Vecquée Liège (Liège called presumably to distinguish it from Great Vecquée, located south of Spa and covered with forests and fens).
