Photographer’s Note

On every Sunday morning, in Liège, along the river Meuse, the largest market in Europe takes place.

It is so called ‘La Batte’ (its name comes from the Walloon dialect and means quai or dams).
3kms length, 10 000m², it welcomes between 50 to 100 thousands visitors every week, a lot of them coming from the euregio area.

A short walk on this friendly market, where you will find animals, clothing, shoes, fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, … and where you will meet a lot of different nationalities and hear various languages spoken.

In this happy cultural mixture, I saw this cute little girl and asked her mother if I was allowed to take one or two photos(another shot, coloured version as a WS), which I dedicate to Catherine Noborders who ordered another portrait;-) and to Francine Faubry

Sorry, sharpness is not perfect : instead of using my G7, I tried another camera and choose a zoom which was not appropriated to this kind of portraits :s

Anyway, the hairstyle of this lovely young lady was so cute, I can’t resist to show it to you.
