Photographer’s Note

Living not far from there, it was high time to take a pict of this beautiful one!
I climbed part of the 257 steps of the belfry in order to obtain this splendid sight.
In the foreground (low left) one sees the illustrations describing the panorama from this height.

Synthesis of the Romanesque and Gothic arts, the Notre-Dame Cathedral shelters an architectural and artistic richness admirable such as its five bell-towers, its treasure and its re-elected pictorial works, which were worth its inscription in 2000 to the list of the World Inheritance of UNESCO.
The installation of an important building site of archaeological excavations revealed the existence of remarkable and invaluable vestiges for the Belgian historical inheritance.

If you pass by the city of the five bells, don't miss it.

une très belle vue générale de cette cathédrale imposante (difficile à photographier quand vous n'êtes pas sur une hauteur ;-)). Je vois qu'il fait très beau chez vous aussi, ce qui nous donne de belles couleurs et une lumière excellente. Composition très belle. TFS

This is indeed a fantastic cathedral. I saw it when I was in your country 15 years back. You got excellent light t highlight the details of this Gothic masterpiece. I am not too sure about the railing in the FG, at first glance it distracts...possibly moving further forward was an option if possible. Keep sharing pictures from your wonderful country with us.

très chouette composition avec l'inclusion de cette rembarded en avant-plan qui fait parfaitement écho à cette belle cathédrale. les travaux en cours abiment à peine ce magnifique édifice. les couleurs et la lumièr(e sont au top.

PdV incontestablement meilleur que celui que j'avais pour prendre ma version de cette jolie cathédrale...

J'aime l'idée d'avoir integré la plaque à ta compo...

Très belle cathédrale, mais je ne peux m'emnpêcher de me demander si la photo ne serait pas mieux sans le balcon de la gauche... Ça aurait permis de rajouter un peu plus de ces jolies maisons
