It´s a beautiful wonder to have sunset in Brugge, channels and buildings bathing by such beautiful light...On the image the Church of Our Lady...
The Church of Our Lady (Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk) in Bruges, Belgium, dates mainly from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries.
Its tower, at 122.3 meters in height, remains the tallest structure in the city and the second tallest brickwork tower in the world (the tallest being the St. Martin's Church in Landshut, Germany).
In the choir space behind the high altar are the tombs of Charles the Bold, last Valois Duke of Burgundy, and his daughter, the duchess Mary. The gilded bronze effigies of both father and daughter repose at full length on polished slabs of black stone. Both are crowned, and Charles is represented in full armor and wearing the decoration of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
The altarpiece of the large chapel in the southern aisle enshrines the most celebrated art treasure of the church—a white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo around 1504. Probably meant originally for Siena Cathedral, it was purchased in Italy by two Brugean merchants, the brothers Jan and Alexander Mouscron, and in 1514 donated to its present home. The sculpture was twice recovered after being looted by foreign occupiers—French revolutionaries circa 1794 and Nazi Germans in 1944.

It a long time since I visited Brugge and it was before I had picked up the hobby of photography but I remember being wowed by its beauty.
You photograph rekindles my memories and takes them a step further because of the additional 'mood' that you have captured. What could be more romantic than this!!
The viewpoint is well chosen, giving direct leads by both the canal and the road.
The light is beautiful and soft and, there is enough illumination to give details of the church, whilst, alternatively, silhouetting the trees.
It is magical!
Have a lovely day,

love this! It has a real oldie worldly atmosphere about it. The light and your management of it are exemplary, with no loss of detail and imparts a delicate warmth to the image. Beautiful work!
Enjoy a good week ahead - B.

The colors in the sky are beautiful.
I also like the perfect composition, playing with the lines to give some depth to the picture.

I like the special light and colours here, so beautiful and compelling, giving a fascinating atmosphere to the image. The old carriage adds an element of interest that combined with the late afternooon light creates a very photogenic scene. Well done.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Le contre jour avec le soleil couchant en face de toi est superbe et le clocher dominant dans le ciel est magnifique sur fond de ciel rose et or.

hola manu. been there three times already, and your photo makes me go there again and again. i love the orange filtering in the sky and the cosy mood it delivers to us. the horse cart works perfectly to give a timeless taste to one of the most beautiful urban views in the world.

The colours in the sky range nicely from white over pink to red.
The light is well reflected on the wet cobblestones and also on the water.
I'm glad you had a great time in Brugge.
Best regards, Paul

You have captured the wonderful atmosphere of Brugge by using the beautiful light to great effect. The wet road and pavement have a subtle shine on them and lead my eye to the church. Very well taken - TFS.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Manuel - How beautifully you have managed the light here in Brugge. The reflections on the wet ground and river add so much to the composition. Nicely balanced in composition the late afternoon colours ate superb. Warm regards Rosemary

Une image bien composée et le rendu des teintes est une réussite avec la variation de ce ciel.

Enchanting picture with the brown/pink hues, the atmosphere given by the wet pavement, umbrellas and even horsecab! As a dutch painting!

Se não fosse pelas viaturas, poderia ser uma foto intemporal! Gosto da composição com a carruagem muito bem colocada e a luz está perfeita e com uns reflexos muito bonitos no pavimento. Bonitas cores também!

I go back to one of your earlier posts, as I found the light and colour tones hypnotic! The wonderful pastel hues and the silhouette of the weeping willow on the right are fabulous. The light reflects beautifully on the cobled street and pavement....wonderful!
My best wishes to you and all your loved ones for a fantastic 2015
