Photographer’s Note

Situated near Square Jan Van Eyck, another lovely place for a romantic stroll...preferably in nice company.
From the Spinolarei we have a great view over the Poortersloge (Burgher's Lodge) and in front of it is the Jan van Eyck square with the statue of the greatest flemish painter of all times who lived and died in Brugge.

Beautiful! Excellent perspective and sense of space and environment. I liked the contrast of the red roofs of some houses and colorful with the cloudy sky.

Hello, John!

It looks like Venice (at least for the pictures I've seen, because I don't know either of them yet), but with a different and interesting architecture! It's good to have included the boat! Wonderful composition! Good job!

Un vrai tableau ! Avec ces couleurs douces et ce ciel couvert . Le cadrage est très bon , sauf le petit morceau de rambarde en bas à gauche .

I would just crop the fg railing. Superb use of diminishing linear perspective with the bridge well positioned on the vanishing point. Love the curves & natural looking colour. Tfs!

Hello John,
A very atmospheric image of the lovely city of Brugges. Good perspective down the canal with its lovely buildings either side. The tour boat brings a touch of colour and vitality. I like the soft light and tones of the architecture.

This is a great shot of Brugge. Your composition is fine using the canal to lead the eye into the shot. The boats add a sense of motion to the scene.

L'endroit est très photogénique. J'aime bien la présence du bateau qui anime l'image et ce ciel sombre qui contraste bien avec les façades des maisons.

j'aime bien les couleurs dans cette image. Le gris du ciel contraste bien avec le vert de l'eau. J'aurai juste coupé la partie basse à gauche de l'image.
