These picture has been taken during a visit to these lovely area.
This is the Lake of the "Meiboom" fishing club to Sijsele on 6 km of Bruges
These nice lake is made through sand winning for car route E40 between Ostend and Brussels 40 year ago.
In totally are two nice places, where every week during the fishing season become competitions or simple a afternoon fishing with the family.
I feel me excellent on these place, but I am no fisherman, alone my camera looking to birds or other lovely images.
On these club can drinking a cup of coffee or maybe a beer.
I hope that you enjoy of these quiet place.

Hallo John,
In dit winters decor wordt het meer prachtig weergegeven. Er schijnt een mooi licht dat aan de andere oever voor warme tinten zorgt die sterk opvallen tegenover het helderblauw van de lucht.
Het kalme water geeft zowat perfecte weerspiegelingen.
Met de vele takken op de voorgrond zorg je voor een heel goede inkadering.
Blijkbaar had jij vorige vrijdag veel beter weer dan wij hier in Brabant.

Un superbe cliché . Et pourtant pas si facile à réaliser , car il n'y a pas ici de gros point fort . PAr contre , la ilhouette des arbres nus as magnifique , de même que le contraste entre le premier plan dasn l'ombre et l'arrière plan éclairé. TRès beau ciel et jolis reflets .

Good Morning John,

The f/g trees are very important in this beautiful, early spring shot, giving a natural frame, anchoring the f/g and contrasting so very well with the sunlit b/g.
Lovely composition.
The trees and their reflections are a real eye-catcher.

A marvellous landscape that would also make a nice painting. Good sharpness (maybe even a little too sharp?) with superb reflections in the fg. Nice repetition of the rows of trees and a superb warm cold color contrast between the blue sky and yellow red bg. Tfs!

le tue foto mi piacciono perchè sempre imperniate sulla bellezza della natura che sai riprendere in maniera ottimale, sia che si tratti di un lago, come di un fiume o di un campo.
Nelle tue foto c'è sempre grande luminosità, ottime composizioni, grande nitidezza e colori equilibrati.

Oh well fishing is boring anyway, so you are well equipped with your camera.

Je hebt weer de juiste plek gevonden om een prachtig landschap te fotograferen. Mooie compositie met geweldige winterkleuren om zo het Vlaamse land in beeld te brengen. Je zou er een tafereel van kunnen maken zonder al te veel moeite. Ik vind het mooi hoe je de takkenstructuur van de bomen kunt zien in deze tijd van het jaar. Door de fraaie reflecties en de wat dramatische lucht is hier veel te genieten. De kleuren zijn zoals altijd natuurlijk en mooi en je hebt een goed standpunt gekozen, zodat je het nodige van de voorgrond in beeld kreeg. Het natuurlijke kader met de bomen op de voorgrond vind ik zeer geslaagd. Ook hier een mooie diepte in de foto waarbij je oog verder naar achter wordt getrokken. Een prachtige poetische foto met heel veel sfeer. Mooi werk weer, John.

The view is nice, if not fantastic, but it is extremely well composed and the light is magnificent. The sunshine falls beautifully on the piece of ground in the middle, which is very well surrounded by twigs and branches in the foreground. The view tells us clearly of a very early spring where there still is something of winter left in the air.

Now I know your secret for outstanding pictures: I noticed in the exif data of this romantic take that you shoot in manual mode camera adjustment after choosing the aperture and exposure time accordingly to your experience or from an hand-held exposure meter!
I cannot do that, except for "cheating" in Photoshop!
Sepia tone of late light conveys the eye-catcher on distant trees adorned of laced branches of foreground that add subtlety to your setup.

Hi John,

I'm continually impressed by your strong compositions that seem to take the sometimes ordinary scene and transform it into something really worth admiring. The use of what nature provides here has been well executed, taking the barren tree branches and utilizing them for balance, filling open sky, and foreground subject matter is wisely done. I particularly like the touch of reeds along the bottom of the frame, they seem to give the reflection a bit of a "fish-eye" effect due to the slight curve of their formation. Beautifully presented.

Hello John,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm lake and surrounding nature with spring tree. Here looks like a nice place for refresh. The light is managed beuatifully by brighy tone. And, the reflection projected to the lake draws out an additional good effect in this image.

It smmes so simple this image but is not. Handeling the diferent strenght of light is not easy and you did it very well. I also like the framning of the bg with the branches on at the fg.

Yes, John - this is a lovely place and this time you have been there to the right time. The sunlight on the other side of the fish pond couldn't have been better and this view out of the shade simply is gorgeous. In addition the blue sky with its fluffy clouds is a nice detail here and the frame of the branches nearly gives the impression of being there. Wonderful!

This is just a lovely scene, extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful. The bare trees, but with buds beginning to appear, serve as the frame for the distant shore bathed in sunlight. The cerulean blue sky with interspersed fluffy clouds makes a gorgeous backdrop.

Nice picture from the lake, with the tree branches creating a natural 'window' through which we can see the play of mellow light on the far bank. Simple scene, but very nicely rendered!

Dreaming of winter, that's what I feel when watching your photograph. Currently a bit of cooler weather would be fine, but we are in the middle of the Thai summer. It is hot and again hot. Excellent composition with the trees in the FG and the diagonal line of trees and their reflection in the water. Well done

I really like how the large oversized tree branches are embracing the frames edges :)
they act like a frame or border.

Hello John,
There is not a typical "jhm style" deep perspective here but the overall result is marvellous as always, like a painting. Very nice light, colors and reflections.
