I found these picture in my archive, this image is made 2011.
I took has been these picture to Sijsele, 6 km of Bruges, along the old railway, now a lovely bike path.
Alone the old lanterns are yet the original of the station 50 year ago.
The blossoms give an extra touch at these picture, and also colorfully.

History:
Around the turn of the century, the Belgian Railway Company line already and relegated them to a local sidelines. In the timetable of 1904, the line still numbered as line 57. In the timetable from 1935 to the present numbering line 58 to see. Along with the advent of the automobile heralded the decline in this. The last passenger train departed on February 26, 1959 around 21.30 to Bruges, then the passenger traffic was taken over by buses. In the same year the freight between Sijsele and put Assebroek stop. In 1962 the track broken. From the other direction remained between Donk and Sijsele still only military transport to Sijsele, but this was stopped in 1962 and shortly thereafter were put here the trace broken. Between Bruges and Assebroek was stopped in goods put on 1 August 1967. A year later, also the rails broken.

Hello John,

An interesting note and a fine picture which reminds us that Spring is not very far away!

The blossoms on the trees make a fine splash of colour and the road leading into the distance gives a wonderful "lead in" to the picture with the lone cyclist adding both scale and human interest.

Gorgeous warm colours, a lovely sky, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

Dag John,
Je bent niet de enige die verlangt naar het voorjaar met die bloeiende bomen en de ontluikende natuur. Wel, ik zie dit liever dan het weerbeeld als ik naar buiten kijk ! Dit is en mooie heldere plaat met een fijne belichting en kleuren waar de bloeiende bomen goed afsteken tegen de blauwe lucht. De foto heb je vanuit een prima standpunt genomen, waardoor er een mooie diepte ontstaat door het ritme van de bomen die samen met het pad een diagonale lijn vormen en het oog door het beeld leiden. Een heerlijk lentebeeld in verwachting van de lente en de wederkerende zon.

Great presentation of a simple location. The unusual colors of the leaves stand out in the foreground.The cyclist deep in the background indicates the depth of field.Very original work with some hard thoughts to get it so right by the master of the art himself.TFS.

Cherry blossom is a beautiful indicator that spring has arrived. This row of trees produces a fine sense of depth as it leads, along with the well positioned path, to the tiny figure in the distance.
The colours are natural and the details of blossom and trunks is sharp.
A beautiful sight to lift the spirit after a long, cold winter.

Hi John,

What can I say, the colors are amazing...it's impossible not to have this stand out amongst many others! Yet another fine example of transforming the commonplace setting into something so much more attractive and interesting. The red/blue/green combination is simple but extremely effective. I really like the person in the distance giving the scene that little extra touch of life. Certainly deserving of all the positive comments!

What a sight - especially when looking out of my window where I can see rain and a lot of snow slush. A wonderful and somehow optimistic scenery - with a great depth. Thank you for the informative note. Such former railway trail here also were transformed into bicycle tracks.

And I can not see anywhere the train station. I see it as beautiful flowering trees, perhaps station is hidden behind the trees. Beautifully the bike path, by the pink flowers.

Hello John,

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tree's line with pink flower along the street. Here looks like a peaceful place. Although that is right also in Japan, the local train line of the district which does not suit a profit is a tendency abolished. Although it seems that a privately-owned car, Bus, etc. are substituted, it is inconvenient to an old person.
