I brought a visit to Damme, the church tower could against a small payment become visited, 2 Euro
The climbing of the tower with a narrow stair (almost 200 steps)
On my age a very great performance but everything was excellent.
Above on the tower got I a wonderful panoramic view about the area.
I have different pictures taken and shall later more pictures show.
On these picture you can see the “Schelle” mill, along the canal Bruges - Sluis.
Thank you very much for your visit.

History:
The mill Damme you cannot miss. He stands high above its immediate surroundings next to the Damme canal on one of the most picturesque spots of Damme. This makes it also one of the most photographed mills in the world.
At this place was since the creation of the town already a standard wooden mill, called the Schellemolen. This mill was owned by the Counts of Flanders; in 1267 these rights were Countess Margaret of Constantinople sold to the city. However, half of the proceeds should still be given to the graves.
The current mill was built in 1867 on the site where the wooden mill stood for centuries and remained in use until 1963. In 1971 he was bought by the province of West Flanders and restored in 1975-1977. It is a protected monument since 1975 and since its restoration, run in the summer the blades in the wind. Also note the more minus that on top of the hood is; a reference to the "legend of the mermaid."
