Saterday afternoon I was as tourist in Bruges, between the a lot visitors everyday in Bruges.
Here a sight on the Woolstreet "Wollestraat" in Dutch. I found here an excellent perspective through these choice of angle, with the Belfry in background.

I hope you like it.

The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is egg-shaped and about 430 hectares in size. The area of the whole city amounts to more than 13,840 hectares, including 193.7 hectares off the coast, at Zeebrugge ("Seabruges" in literal translation). The city's total population is 117,073 (1 January 2008),[1] of which around 20,000 live in the historic centre. The metropolitan area, including the outer commuter zone, covers an area of 616 km² and has a total of 255,844 inhabitants as of 1 January 2008

Hi John.
As soon as I saw Brugge in the title I thought it might be you, even before I saw your name under it.
Very colourful scene, with people brightly clothed and heading in all directions. The bright light creates nice shadows, and you have a good perspective view down the street to the belfry. That is one BIG man sitting on the wall on the right side!

You have chosen a fine perspective looking over the bridge with some wonderful architecture either side. The tourist create a nice sense of animation and make for a pleasing atmopshere. The detail in the architecture is very well rendered with good colours and sharpness. You seemed to have had a nice sunny day.

Hi John,

The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view takes our eyes toward the end of the street which is giving perspective to the composition. It is also allowing us to see the details and colors of the architecture of the bulidings. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

An outstanding place in this city full of wonderful places. You have had the luck that the streets weren't as crowded as usual in summer. The eyes really are drawn into the street here - to Belfry. I posted nearly exactly the same photo some months ago ;-)

Your composition is great using the street to lead the eye into the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The great blue sky provides an excellent backdrop for the shot. The people add scale and life to the shot. This is a nice change from the normal shots of Burgge that always include canals.

This is a colorful, well composed street scene in Bruges, a city I have heard many good things about. The blue of the sky is seen in appealing gradation. I am surprised the population is only 113,000 for a city so well known.

Bruges est un régal pour les photographes. Cette photo est bien composée (avec la sensation étrange que les gens s'écartent devant ton objectif!), les couleurs sont superbes et la luminosité excellente (je n'ai encore jamais eu la chance de voir Bruges sous un beau ciel bleu comme ça!)

Bruges, la belle, as they say in French. I read once that phrase and it stayed in my mind. Years later I agreed that it is one of the most beautiful cities in Vloandern, or in Europa.
Your sharp picture shows it very well. Even the tourist are OK in this view, they don't disturb it.

Bruges est une de mes prochaines étapes photographiques, prévue pour fin aout. J'ai hâte de revoir toutes ces vieilles pierres de cette ville qui pour moi est la plus belle du pays.

Ik heb inderdaad veel mooier werk van U gezien,
zeker van Brugge,
maar nietemin zeker een boven gemiddelde foto, gezien de kwaliteit van het fotowerk hier op trekearth nou ook niet super is.
mooie contrast goede verdeling en puik werk John.
De mensen zien dit graag van U, hoe U brugge promoot.
