Photographer’s Note

More than two year ago I was in Bruges.
A great group singers on the Great Square, this is one of the a lot singers, he look to my lens.
I think that these group speak English, I know not out of each other country this people came.

Medical reporting about my bike accident after 40 days
The Pelvis be every day better, still two a three weeks than I am back the old cyclist. (I hope)
The blood lumps, the evaluation is very well, but very slow, the Doctor think to end of June.

Really an impressive composition..i too have a similar image and the person in the FG is off-focus..blurry..the focus being on the person behind..and somehow the visual appeal wasnt all that great...had the off-focus subject been in the second layer..i would have worked fine..

wonder why is that..our eyes catch and want to see something that is sharp and defining in the first layer itself ?

your's gives me assurance..will post it and let you know !!:))

Hi, John -

Continuing our discussion about the use of macro lenses...

This is a very good use of a macro lens, though somehow I find it hard to believe it was f/14. Excellent positioning of the DOF so that all of the main character is in focus while none of the rest of it is. And of course the expression is just perfect! My only suggestion is that you might try cropping off just a bit of the left and see if you like the balance of elements better that way.

Hope you're up and around more soon. I'm afraid that at our age we don't bounce back as fast as we used to. But it will happen.

Dag, John. Mooi portret van deze jongeman. zijn ogen zijn gericht op de lens en dat geeft een gevoel van medeplichtigheid tussen de fotograaf en zijn model. Zeer goed DOF waarmee het gezicht goed opvalt. Misschien was het portret nog beter geweest zonder het gezicht aan de rechterkant, maar ik veronderstel dat u tamelijk snel moest reageren.
Ik hoop dat u niet te ongeduldig wordt en dat u weldra weer op de fiets mag. Geduld overwint alles.

Hallo John,

Had deze gemist, misschien omdat ik hem niet meteen linkte met je ander werk. Zo nu en dan gooi je er een portret tegenaan en je weet dat ik dat graag mag zien. De blik en de timing naar de man die je aankijkt is zeer fraai, net als de achtergrond die zeer fraai wegloopt. Ben minder gecharmeerd van de persoon rechts, zonder hem was hij wellicht sterker geweest, maar desalniettemin een fraaie plaat.
