A nicely framed composition with good point of view that takes good advantage of the reflections offered by the puddle. The interesting sky makes a for a pleasing atmosphere and brings a good light. Very good colours and clarity.

Hallo john,
Er zit een mooie balans in de foto, zowel rechts als links. De voorgrond is niet echt interessant, maar het tweede gedeelte met kerk en huizen en daarboven die vette blauw lucht doet wonderen...prima werk.

Hello John,

Ton grand angle rend cette scène spectaculaire et crée une nouvelle perspective.
Le ciel bleu est l'élément qui attire le regard dans cette compo. L'avant plan est peut-être un peu vide et mériterait la présence d'une personne qui pourrait accrocher le regard.
La qualité de l'image est par contre excellente.

Het is een Maenhout zonder meer.
is een beetje te herkennen aan de stijl. goed e compositie, de voorgrond is inderdaad niet echt interessant, als het mogelijk was geweest was het mooie geweest om ook de reflectie mee te nemen van het water, maar dat is allemaal gezever John, mooi werk. Als als als... bestaat niet. prettige avond verder.

Bonsoir John,

Hallo John,

Ik heb gefascineerd gekeken naar de omgeving van dit klooster. De kale oevers rondom de vijver.
Als ik het goed zie is er nieuwe aanplant, maar rechts voor lijkt die wel in het water te verdwijnen.
Ook de straat achter het klooster draagt bij aan de aparte sfeer.

the light and clarity tells us about coming spring and even that distance to the buildings keep them in this one close by impression. Superb quality and the composition with the diagonal lines has a good depth.

Goedemorgen John, u heeft die grote plas zeer goed gebruikt, door zijn ovale vorm krijgt de compo iets speels en levert natuurlijk mooie reflecties op. Heel mooi gevangen ook de oude abdij. Interessante info ook! Heel fijn werk John, ik kijk er graag naar!
Een een goed weekend vanuit een geheel bewolkt Rotterdam bij 8,3 graden.

Hi John,

Een interessant punt om vanuit hier een foto van de abdij te maken. In eerste instantie, zonder het lezen van je note, had ik het idee dat het ging om laag water in een water-bekken. Maar nu ik de note lees zie ik dat het om een modderpoel gaat die er normaal niet is. Maar hij past er mooi bij met de reflecties!

Hello John,
ik bewonder de manier waarop je deze compositie hebt samengesteld. Het veld in FG mag dan niet bijzonder interessant zijn (maar daar treft jou geen blaam, het is gewoon de tijd van het jaar, later zal dat ook mooi worden), toch past-ie perfect in het kader en sfeer van deze foto. Heel subtiel perspectief dankzij de grand angle, en zowel lucht als klooster zijn schitterend mooi! Prima fotowerk!
En nog harstikke bedankt voor je laatste bezoek, (Sympathy For The Devil)!

The church is the background is very nice, but the most interesting part for me is the puddle or pond. It reminds of older times when humans and animals were living closely together even in or very near the cities, and such a pond would be the perfect drinking plance of our domestic companions.
