I see that you went back to your favorite canal.As usual there is an impressive depth of fieldwith this range of trees and their reflection joining to the same point!The colors are superb,I especially like the blue of the water contrasting with the yellow grasses!Magnificent.

a typical one from you in its great clarity but different to others because of the accentuation of the reflection effect with the price of the upper part. In my eyes worth because the effect of the blue framed by the trees of the canal is very strong and eye catching with a great depth.

een klassieker van U John,
prachtig werk hoor, maar wat lees ik nu had U iemand op een ligfiets voorbij zien gaan. Een te lid? leuk om de mensen te herkennen in cognito, ik weet niet of ik dit laatste goed schrijf.... maakt niet uit prachtig werk en een prettige dag verder.

Dit keer vind ik de spiegeling in het water, gecombineerd met het flinterdunne laagje ijs rechts, bijzonder mooi.

Tu as créé une belle double perspective avec ces reflets dans le canal. Cela donne une image très captivante et trés bien composée. J'aime beaucoup les relfets du ciel car ils sont nettement plus polarisés que le ciel lui-même.

This is the ultimate canal and tree shot! I've seen other photos of the same theme posted here, but this one has the strongest lines, and the greatest sense of convergance as we see the trees coming in from each side. Beautiful colour too. Well done!

Hello John, very nice perspectives seen in this shot of yours, of the canal. Detail is sharp throughout both on land and in the reflections in water. The colour is very rich and natural looking. The composition works well with the long canal and trees, I like too how you've captured the still melting ice on the edge of the water.

Hoi John, prachtig, het resultaat van een wat lager PoV en de zeer fraaie weergave van de reflecties (die spannend onderbroken worden door de stukken nog bevroren water). Het kleurenpalet past bij de winterse sfeer. Heerlijk en knap uitgevoerd werk John!

un cadrage habituel d'un canal, on y retrouve le charme que tu sais faire ressortir de ses canaux quand les couleurs sont fortes et les lumières parfaites.
Cette perspective conduit le regard vers le fond.

Eindeloos mooi en onuitputtelijk die fotos van jullie mooie kanalen.
Een streling voor het oog.
Mooie weerkaatsing in het water waardoor de waterpartij als het ware in twee verdeeld wordt. Je hebt terecht de focus onder de horizon gelegd.

Goedemiddag John,
Het perspectief van dit kaarsrechte kanaal is weer geweldig. Zo te zien ligt er ook nog een dun laagje ijs langs de rechteroever. Prachtige spiegelingen van de rijen bomen in het rustige water en het licht zorgt voor een mooie warme gloed over de foto. Heel mooi werk!

Hi John. Such a straight piece of water would truly be unusual here in NZ, all our rivers are windy and the only canals I have seen here are also curved. Well captured, excellent perspective to create depth. Good colour and detail also. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent composition and POV here using the canal and tress to lead the through the photo. The reflection is wonderful giving the photo nice depth and balance. The ice on the water reminds us that it is still winter. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF.

The alignment of trees, as well as reflections on the water are very striking, causing a successful graphics and a large depth of field.
