The Border II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Yesterday I could not resist the temptation to take my bicycle for a short ride in the neigbourhood. The reason being that it had been a bright sunny morning, but slowly a very threatening layer of clouds arrived. This provided for dramatic sky views.

This picture was taken when the sun had already given up its fight against the supremacy of the clouds. The small road you see is the border between Belgium (right) and the Netherlands (left). Here it is called "Veldzigt". It is in fact the same little road as in my picture called "the Border", only some 1,5 km more to the west, and with a different name.

Unlike "The Border", I cropped the present picture, until I got a "carper"-format, as it was suggested to me by JHM. Hope you like it!

une photo simple mais qui traduit parfaitement l'ambience nuageuse et souvent grise de nos ciels et de nos campagnes.
J'aime beaucoup le cadrage et ces teintes très naturelles.
Bien vu et réalisé.

This picture has very nice composition. I love the beautiful lines of the dirt road and the green grass on the horizon. The image is a little over exposed causing a kind of haze that is taking away from the beauty of the image. I did a workshop that took that haze away. Tell me what you think.

I like your composition very much with the bare trees and the road and canal curving behind them below the threatening clouds with the hint of light.

Beste Mathieu,
Dit "carper" model heeft op deze foto zeker inpact, want op deze manier krijgt u een hoge bomenrij met een moeilijke hemel maar goed naar voor gebracht. Niets is overdreven maar goed aangepast, de ws van de vorige schrijver kan ik niet ondersteunen, deze van u darentegen is veel beter, alleen uw wolken geven een beetjes cras, ik heb geantwoord.
Hij verdiend beter dan tot op heden!
