Photographer’s Note

This picture was also taken during last Sunday's evening walk. This one has been shot just when the sun disappeared behind the canal trees. Only 30 minutes later I shot my "Canal at Dusk" (also on TE), when we had reached the canal path.

The picture is taken from a very small road which runs through the "Christoffelpolder", a fertile piece of land, colourful during summer when barley flourishes, and dark during winter when nothing grows on it. The canal in the background is the Leopoldskanaal, and the one on the foreground is running towards its big brother providing it with excess water.

Hoi Mathieu,
Het is een spectaculaire foto, de avond beelden in december zijn soms buitengewoon mooi, zoals deze hier. Met de zon tussen de kanaal bomen, samen met de prachtige rode gloed beneden, en de hemel is gewoon schitterend. Ja het buiten leven is totaal anders dan het stads leven nietwaar, maar beiden hebben hun voor en nadelen.
Zalig Kerstfeest en Gelukkig Nieuwjaar gewenst.

Goeienavond, Mathieu. Dit vind ik een prachtige foto met zachte kleuren in de lucht en mooie reflecties op de voorgrond. Deze donkere voorgrond zorgt voor een goed contrast met de schemerige hemel.

Heel mooie en sfeerrijke foto!!!prachtig gewoon!!!Inderdaad zoals luc zei spijtig dat de horizon wat schuin staat al is dat normaal vlug verholpen.Zet hem recht en het eens van de beste foto's hier op trekearth
