I has been a stroll in centre of Ghent you find every time a wonderful place for a good picture.
You can see the "ZUIVELBRUG" in Dutch, almost in centre of Ghent.

Ghent is a historical and a modern city at a time.
With a totally new centre completely car free
Modern daily life of the active urbanite plays set in a beautiful historic setting.
Ghent is lived and lived, worked and enjoyed. every day.
I can every time enjoys the tranquility of an authentic convent.
Parents and children strolling through the pedestrian streets of the city.
A tourist takes a photograph of the three towers, but has often done a little differently.
Dozens of cafes invite you to discover the Ghent specialties.
The sun reflected in the many waters of the Leys.

The traditional architecture, the canal and the flowers make this a very attractive scene!

Olá John, it looks a bit like a painting too... Wonderful framing and perspective of the bridge's fence. The flowered FG is very attractive as it is the architecture and the cloudy sky. Nice detail of the person with the blue shirt matching the color of the sky.

Excellent FG with teh flowers which give depht to the image. Image full of lihe too with the peoples on the bridge. the superb architectur of the houses in the BG are very well colected.

Bonjour John.

Très belle composition avec ces belles fleurs à l'avant plan. Ce beau pont qui porte le regard vers ces beaux bâtiments colorés et ces passants et ce ciel magnifique.
Il semble y avoir un certain problème de netteté qui n'enlève rien à l'ensemble.

Although I miss a bit more of sharpness (always a matter of personal taste), I really like this beautiful picture because of its charming composition with all those attractive urban elements! Colors, exposure, pov, black & white borders and square format are all excellent too! Again, about the level of sharpness, the way it is, it's certainly a painting-like photograph and that way it also pleases me a lot!

Dobro vece gospodine, kod nas odlazi jos jedan vreo dan.
Lep pogled preko cveca, mosta , reke na arhitekturu dela grada sa dobrim uvodnim tekstom.

The presence of the people is adding life to the picture. The bridge is taking my eytes toward the buildings which is giving depth to the composition. Gand est une très belle ville. J'y suis passé il y a longtemps mais je ne m'y suis pas assez attardé pour profiter de ces bien jolis quartier typiques comme ici. Une belle lumière et des contrastes forts qui donnent beaucoup de punch à l'image, c'est très agréable, merci John.

The POV is excellent, with the flowers in the foreground and the bridge on the left adding depth to the composition. Light and colours are very nice. Just a shame sharpness is not very good. I see you took this photo at ISO 400, it would have been OK at ISO 100 and the result would have been better ;)
