Cortewalle Beveren II, a photo from Oost-Vlaanderen, Flanders

Photographer's Note

On 10 mile of Antwerp found I this castle, a pity for the members but I found no information about this lovely castle.
Almost 3/4 around this castle is a Lake, only the entrence is completely with a road without bridge.
Around the castle is a great garden accessible for everyone, alone for walkers.
Also a garden with different seasoning.

Hallo John,

Wat een tijd geleden dat ik nog eens op TE was, de tijd blijft mij achtervolgen.
Zo eens tussen door, ik zie dat u nog niet stil heeft gezeten op TE, dit is hier uw tweede thuis, foto's maken en plaatsen.
Maar ik ben overtuigd dat het met de goesting is.
Mooi in iedergeval, altijd weet u wel een diepte te vinden en een lijn om perspectief aan te tonen.
Zeker goed semengesteld.

Dag, John. U hebt uw beeld goed samengesteld met de bomen aan de linker- en rechterkant die voor contrast zorgen met de lichte tinten van het kasteel. Het perspectief is goed met de ijzeren leuning die naar het kasteel leidt. Het geheel komt goed uit op de hemel.

Great composition using the rail to lead the eye into the shot. The angle of the shot is nice giving the castle nice depth. The reflection add good depth and balance to the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

De POV is uitstekend, de kademuur neemt je mee de foto in richting het kasteel, dat bovendien mooi in het water spiegelt. Wat een heerlijk zonlicht ook vanaf de linkerkant dat voor frisse en heldere kleuren zorgt. Heel goed fotowerk, bedankt!

Wij hebben hier wekenlang zeer goed weer gehad met heldere luchten en het schijnt dat jullie iets zuidelijker daar ook van hebben geprofiteerd. Valt terug te zien in deze foto waar alles aan mooie samenhang heeft kwa kleur en compositie, maar het is toch vooral die helderheid wat op mij de meeste indruk maakt. Prima werk hier, ook al lijkt het kasteel iets te hellen.

The trees are a natural frame to the canal and to the castle. The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is leading our eyes toward the castle and is giving depth to the photo. The colors are enhanced by the light. Have a nice day.

superb composition. Fisrt of all I really like this strong perspective and the many elements in this frame such as the water and the building's reflection on it, the fence in zig-zag that leads us to the castle and finally the green around. Impressive details and exposure overall. I see that you cloned a street lamp pole out. You made the right decision since it was probaly disturbing the view. I sometimes do that in my images. Very good job!

Dag John,
dynamic lines and good light and clarity work here together for and attractive capture of that castle. The POV offering the view over the balustrade and including the water is well chosen. Maybe by something else, but there seems to be some PP visible on the trees and clouds (Just read your response to skippy007).

Terrific, sharp details of texture, pattern and structure. The Pov is ideal for this composition. All the castles you present in TrekEarth are so beautiful! Except the main subject the countryside is always wonderful and this is one more benefit for those images.

Dag John. Op kastelentoer? Mooie serie. Op het vlak van compositie moet er je niemand nog iets leren; prachtig gedaan. Het is een heel aantrekkelijke foto met heel levendige kleuren. Ik zie wel een lichtjes "blurry" plekje bovenaan rechts; anders perfecte foto.

Bon point de vue pour valoriser ce joli château. Le garde corps donne une belle profondeur dans l'image et nous permet de le suivre pour arriver jusqu'au domaine. J'aime beaucoup la lumière et le piqué de la photo. Le reflet est très agréable. Une photo intéressante, merci John.
