Photographer’s Note

I know I'm slightly late with my wishes, but I post this image today to wish all TE'ers a very happy and healthy 2006!

I took this photo on New Year's Eve as this little girl was watching some small fireworks in the garden through the window. Her enthusiasm and thrill at this modest spectacle were heart-warming. She knelt down and held her little hands against the window reaching out to touch the hand of the person at the other side as well as to touch the sparkles of a new year.

This photo is also special to me because it's my first post with my new and first digital camera!
I post the colour (and original version) in a WS.

Hi Sabine. Anymore sightings? you're such a stalker! Anyways, congratulations with your new camera, it looks like it is working well. I think I like the color version better because the color of her dress is very pretty. Also, at first i thought that this little girl was... ummm... disabled, I didn't realize that she was kneeling. anyways, happy new year.

dan ben ik misschien de eerste om je eerste foto met je nieuw speeltje te "becommentariëren"... Eerlijk gezegd, persoonlijk verkies ik de kleurenversie, maar dat is een smaak, hee. Die kleine "vuurstokjes" ken ik nog van toen ik klein was, mijn opa kon ons daar jaren geleden ook zo heerlijk gelukkig mee maken. Ik kan me het gevoel van het kleine meisje dus heel goed voorstellen. Voor mij is dit dan ook een foto met een mooie herinnering aan mijn grootvader. Bedankt, Sabine, en geniet van het nieuwe jaar.

touchante cette photo, surtout cette main posée sur la vitre, cette petite princesse sur la pointe des pieds.... J'aime bcp la version couleurs meme si celle en N&B me semble pas mal, mais je ne suis pas apte a juger le PP etant qssez nul ;o)
Vive le D50....est une de plus chez Nikon

Bonne et Heureuse Année avec ce D50 !
Merci pour ton dernier commentaire ;o).

J'aime bcp cette scene candide, la curiosité des enfants et leurs étonnements sont tjs moments agréables à saisir. C'est le cas ici avec ce double pov, cette main posée sur la vitre.

Je trouve le n/b attenue un peu le coup de flash que je troive trop fort dans la version couleur. Mais avec ce n/b on perds les belles couleurs de sa robe ...
