Leuven is the most important city of the Flemish Brabant. It is located about 30 km of Brussels. Leuven is home to an old university, founded in the year 1425.

Here a house in one of the two beguinage of Leuven: the "Groot Begijnhof".

The beguinages were constructed in the West North of Europa (Flanders, Nederland).

The Beguines were women who dedicaded their lives to god withart retiring from the world (13th century).

The beguinages are situated in the cities: Amsterdam, Bruges, Leuven, Lier, Diest, Dixmude, ...
More flemish beguinages are inscrided on the list " World heritage Unesco" .
