Photographer's Note
The Cathedral of our Lady was built between 1352 and 1521 as one of the world's tallest buildings, Antwerp's majestic cathedral still dominates the city's skyline.
The wide central nave is flanked by three aisles on each side, creating a huge interior space with 48 pillars in each aisle. The cathedral has a length of 117m. In 1566 and again in 1581, the interior of the cathedral was badly damaged by the Calvinists during the iconoclastic furies. In the 18th century, the French even threatened to demolish the building entirely. Fortunately, the city architect could hold off those plans. During the French occupation, most of the interior was sold by the French. Despite all the plundering, major art treasuries have survived. The most notable are three large paintings by Rubens: Descent from the Cross (1612), Elevation of the Cross (1610) and the Resurrection Triptych (1612). There are many more notable objects inside like altars, confessionals, statues and the pulpit. The main relic that survived the middle ages is the bronze tomb of Isabella of Bourbon. The Cathedral is also adorned with 34 huge stained windows. Source: aviewoncities.com

Hi Gosia
not an easy shot to get right, with difficult lighting variations, but this is perfect. Your POV emphasises the height and magnificence of this interior and the chairs add to the depth and effect superbly. Executed and presented wonderfully!
Regards - Brian.

hi Gosia,
beautiful framing of the arch in an arch in an arch, adn what a treat to find that stunning stained glass at the heart of it all. You have done superb to capture such detail on the glass while maintaining great light in the whole scene, something I find terribly difficult to do.
the inclusion of the one person gives excellent scale too.
Thnaks for sharing

Ciao Gosia,
Complimenti
Ciao e buona serata

Czesc Gosia,
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Ciao Gosia,
Well managed perspective and a good side on view of the church walls and pews. Excellent sharpness and a pleasant diffused light. Nice graphic rectangular grid patterns in the upper part of the image. I like the soft diffused light. Tfs!

Hi Gosia
This makes an enchanting interior architectural shot with excellent tonal contrast, colors and clarity, abound of minute details even the panes above and the stained glass panels are visible clearly from this pov. A fine shot with stunning graphical effect as well and the sense of depth and scale proportion are pretty obvious. Simply delicious and easy on the eye too. Congrats, TFS.
Kind regards

Hello Gosia,
You show us very different architecture from your previous post. The more simple lines and contours are beautifully framed in your picture. The person in red is perfectly placed in the frame and is an important part of the composition. Very well taken.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi Gosia,
I'm always intrigued with patterns and shapes, so this certainly appeals to my senses. Framing this photo with an arch and also using them as a pattern is a creative idea. Always difficult to manage light in a cathedral, but you've done a fine job to show plenty of detail and texture without losing any highlights. Well balanced and symmetrical, very nice perspective with limited space. Nicely accomplished and well planned out, impressive shot!
Cheers,
Jason

Witaj Gosiu,
Swietnie skomponowany kadr - jest tu i wykorzystany element nawy, powtarzajacy sie motyw luku, linie oraz turystka, ktorej obecnosc poteguje uczucie majestatu katedry. Kolory i szczegoly sa fantastyczne. Doskonale!
Serdecznie pozdrawiam,
