Photographer’s Note
Antwerp-Tower also known as De Boerentoren is the oldest sky scraper in Europe. Build in the early thirties, the building is older then the Empire State Building but build in the same Art Deco style.

Hey Kari,
Interesting, would never have figured out it`s in Belgium, the black and white seems natural for this shot. To bad the girl with the not so art deco bike fell into the shot. But it isnt particulary bothersome.
Best regards.

Hello Kari. A masterful photo in the classical style of the black-and-white photography. Worth seeing. Compliment. Regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Kari,
I really like the conversion you put on this b&w image - excellent contrast, looks like a vintage image. I, too, think bicycle rider adds interest and scale to this wonderful image.
Great job!

Hello Kari,
very nice vertical shot of this old building with a touch of the early Manhattan way of construction. The conversion to B&W was a very good idea to enhance the effect of the architecture similarity. Beautiful classical style. I like it very much.
Best wishes,

Hi Kari,
Indeed it reminds the older skyscrapers of Manhattan, but the quiet street doesn't, which is actually pleasant to the eye. If the highest building wasn't so high I could think it was Lisboa.

Hello Kari,
You have right, it’s in Manhattan style – definitely. I like the PP in B/W and very good composition.
Congratulations!

Hello Kari
I like the tonal range you've chosen as it enhances the patterns. The vertical lines interact with the others in a subtle way while the cyclist in the foregroung adds this special human touch.
Congratulations

Hi Kari,
good thinking - it definit3elly has something of the same architecture and the way you are presenting this supports the illusion. Only the bike looks a bit lost and there are way to less cars and pedestrians on the road. TFS Thomas

Hello Kari,
You are right, except the woman on bicycle, we could think we are in NY city. You performed a nice B&W translation with a right tuning of the contraste what is very important in B&W.
Yves.

Hello Kari,
Great capture of this very, very familiar sight (for me). The bl/w touch works perfect here. But damn those tram lines, they're always in the way... (although the bl/w camouflages them a bit). Good shot, I hope you enjoyed your stay in my hometown.
