[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have already posted some pictures of Eglise Saint-Jacques-sur-Coudenberg and the equestrian statue of Godfrey de Bouillon in Place Royale in Brussels but I realised that the best light is in the evening so I decided to take an evening photo. Here is the result.

The statue of Godfrey de Bouillon (1058-1100) is from 1848 and the name of the sculptor is Eugene Simonis. Godfrey de Bouillon was Duke of Lower Lorraine and one of the leaders of the First Crusade to the Holy Land and King of Jerusalem

Eglise Saint-Jacques-sur-Coudenberg is in neo classical style and was designed to remind of a Greek temple with six Corinthian columns. It was inaugurated in 1787. The cupola was completed in 1849. During the French revolution it became a Temple of Reason, and later a Temple of Law. In July 1831, Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha took the constitutional oath on a decorated stage in front of the church. This made him Leopold I, the first King of the Belgium. The interior of the church is plain but solemn.

Hello Ulf. Stunning shot with excellent sharpness of the statue and the tower. I like the warm lighting and the blue sky which works very well in the composition. Regards. Jusni

Hi Ulf,
I think I remember this place in Brussels. A very good combination of the statue and the little dome of the church, a good contrast too. The light was also enhancing and added a nice warm hue to the church. Well done!
Regards,
Lars

Hej Ulf,

I like this composition, the statue makes a strong eye-catcher before my view moves on to the fine architecture behind!
Sharp fine details and a great sense of depth...

Hi Ulf, crystal clear details and well framed. I like the details on the first theme and in the distant building. You have done a very good job, bravo.
