Photographer’s Note

With the Chinese Pavilion and the Museum of Japanese Art, the Japanese Tower is part of the "Museums of the Far East." The Japanese Tour was inaugurated in 1905 and in 1921 its management was entrusted to the institution of the Royal Museums of Art and History. The rich collections that contain his stories testify to the regular commercial relations between Europe and the Far East. The decorative porcelain objects which are presented have been made exclusively for customers (and taste) of Europe, between the mid-16th century and the middle of the 18th.
