This shopping arcade was built from 1954 and 1958 in the International style of architecture, based on the plans of the architects Alexis and Philippe Dumont. They were also responsible for the neighbouring edifice erected for the Shell company. Galerie Ravenstein was listed in 2009.
The arcade offers a range of shops and places to eat & drink.

Hi Daniel - a sharp, almost painful image, but an attractive and well taken one. The high contrast and circular pattern makes it almost an optical illusion here. I like that you've framed it off center as well, which adds to the effect. Beautiful, graphical and minimal - thanks!

I'm ashamed to confess that I have been in this gallery so often and that I never was aware that there are such splendid photo opportunities.
What a wonderful visual effect!
Best regards, Paul

un gran colpo, da una bella idea, un'eccellente risultato. Bella l'idea del b%w, non distoglie l'attenzione e rende ancora più ipnotizzante la visione.

I really like this well-spotted detail. Makes me a bit dizzy looking at it - it's not a criticism by the way.:)

Looking at this one I get quite dizzy with all these patterns and lines. The picture seems to draw one in like a black hole.
Interesting scene indeed.

HI dear Daniel
It seems we've both been hanging out in shopping centres lately. Lucky its for the photos and not to spend money :) This place is a haven for photographers, and your captured this detail so clerverly. I like the tight frame and the sensational graphism. B&W was a great choice. Congratulations!
