Photographer's Note

The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall, and the Breadhouse (Maison du Roi / Broodhuis). The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels. It measures 68 by 110 metres (223 by 360 ft), and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This looks at first as a very ordinary street scene, but the street ends with two very different buildings; a blue modern house and a green church. This brings a certain surrealistic impression to the picture. A fine observation!

This is a nice presentation of the Brussels Old Town street. The tower in the centre looks interesting and eye-catching. The ad on the right side is a little bit disturbing but generally the view is great.

the green lights really shine against the blues...and i think i recognize that blue structure - it caused a heated debate right?

The background colors act as a strong focal point seen thru' the atmpospheric narrow alley with excellent human touch. A fine low light shot offers a glimpse of local ambience and the feeling of depth flanked by old buildings on both sides. Good shot, Congrats
