Brussels' cuisine continues to use recipes which were created in Medieval times, with mustard, vinegar, beer and a wide range of spices. A standard Brussels restaurant menu includes various types of fish, seafood and game. Vegetables are another important element, with potatoes being of primary importance.
Lunchtime and dinnertime in Brussels are quite typical for a northern European country. Lunch is usually eaten around 1 to 3pm, and dinner around 7 to 8pm. Breakfast and dinner are normally quite light, while lunch is considered the most important meal of the day. At lunchtime and in the evening, restaurants usually offer cheap plat du jour deals and fixed-price menus. One great option for a Sunday brunch can be a visit to one of the city's fancy hotels which offer a modestly-priced yet lavish buffet for around 20 Euro per person.
Prices at Brussels' restaurants vary widely. A simple lunch at an informal eatery shouldn't exceed 10 to 13 Euro, while a full dinner with dessert and wine at one of the city's culinary gems can total 200 Euro. Some say that whatever the price range, it's just impossible to eat badly in the capital of Belgium. However, even if you're on a budget it's recommendable to save some money for at least one proper feast in a fine restaurant, for the Brussels' haute cuisine is an experience that can't be missed. Your guide to Brussels food neatly accompanies this attractive composition featuring a local hostelry. Very well exposed with good colours and clarity.

this shot shows dedication to your craft Daniel. Most people are well stuffed and asleep on the sofa at this time on Christmas Day! Superbly detailed and executed shot of the delights of Brussels eateries. Like it!

A nice eating spot you found, wonderful lights, great colours. Nice photograph, capturing the mood along with the moment. The sharpness of the building design are impressive and dominates the photograph and so do the stunning red lights that brighten up the highlights
of the architectural details. Fine low light shot, Well done.

I remember seeing and liking this photo the day you posted it, just getting to the photo now.
I'm a big fan of these large signs that have an old rustic look.
there's something very simple about them yet they stand out so well.
It goes into the ugly-beautiful pile :)
