Photographer’s Note

In exUSSR there was a tradition - every town had so called "Desk of Honour" where photos of important people from this town were placed. It was really a big honour if your photo was placed on this desk. Good workers, persons from the government, other people that achieved success in any field were awarded in this way. This gave them public recognition.
This shot of "Desk of Honour" (it's written on the top of the frame) was taken in Hrodna (Grodno). Unfortunately only the frame is still preserved.
