Karlskirche Mozart Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of the "Mozarts" who encourage people to buy tickets. This one enjoyed a moment of peace eating and, apparently, making a phone call ;-) Location: the passage at the entrance to the baroque Karlskirche (St. Charles Church).
The 18.century church is one of Vienna's well known tourist attractions. Huge, containing a lift helping the tourists to aprecciate rich decorations high above inside the dome... Well, I didn't go for it because the tickets were quite expensive and that would be the 8. church I visited that day. All the others could be entered for free (for example Franziskanerkirche or stunningly decorated Jesuitenkirche).

Nicely seen arrangement, though I think with the graphic aspect of this being so important for the compo, it would have been worth suaring up the portico, if you didn't have time to move, a little pp distortion would do. See WS.

A nice, clean and amusing composition. A dark spot on the right side is slightly disturbing, otherwise a very good picture.

very well composed....i like the way the gent is dwarfed by the structure...

and the red contrasts beautifully with the white.

Joanna,
lovely moment to see this modern Mozart sitting there and multitasking with his snack and cell phone. The composition with the person in the left lower corner and the architectural frame is perfect. The object at the right side is distractive and requires cloning.

I really like this! there is a lovely sense of humour in this image: this moment of peace, as you say, doing some basic stuff (cell phone included lol), is in a funny contrast with the perfect symmetry and seriousness of the architectural background.

oh, now you reminded me of those wonderful 'mozart chocolates' mmm!
