Photographer’s Note

I guess if you were to name two things that Vienna is known for it would be the St Stephans Cathedral, as well as its musical background.

I normally try to not shoot buskers, but it was tough to avoid a scene such as this.

Wonderfull ! I was visitd VIENNA, but don't have time to see that catedral. Mybe on next trip.

Vienna is one of my favorite cities and this is a wonderful photo from this special city.

What a nice POV of a place which turns out difficult to be portraited because of the narrowness in that square . So the task of finding a dinamic subject that add "something else" is not always easy and you found the best outspoken and eloquent about what Vienna represents culturally . Good sharpness on the man's face and good weak blur effect applied on the backgrounded church

The guy looks like a light fixture or a sculpture in the thumbnail. Maybe I'm just tired, but I have trouble distinguishing him from the sharp lines and textures of the cathedral behind him. Maybe just a touch less depth of field would help but otherwise I have nothing else critical to say. You've really managed to capture just how imposing the size of that cathedral must be.

A nicely original shot Brendan - a lovely creative composition and an excellent exposure of the figure against that background - unlike Mike I really love the way he integrates with the cathedral - for sure there's another shot there of a smaller DOF but that is a different photograph altogether.
