Photographer's Note
This building is a waste incineration installation in Vienna - Spittelau.
Originally this building was constructed around 1967. In 1988 Friedensreich Hundertwasser was asked to design the reconstruction of the installation. Hundertwasser doubted for a year wheather he shoud take on the project being a very environmental friendy person. He finally was convinced when he heard about the necessity and that it would get very modern and environmental friendly equipment. 40% of Vienna's waste is incinerated here which gives enough energy for 40000 households. Due to the modern technique exhaust in minimal and long within the limits allowed.

Beautiful and colourful building for such use. The good saturation of colours and the perspective including the high tower above is very good. Very good scan with no loss of quality evident. Thanks for sharing Harko.

Hello Harko, your note is perfectly of topicality, because it is as of now that it is necessary to recycle, the decorative structure of this factory is nicely decorated, moreover you knew to benefit from a crowd from details colourful of this building some can heteroclite and of an advantageous sky for given one made natural and a p`tit something of antagonistic to the thing, thing which with the merit to be original, sincerely ...............................Bonjour Harko, ta note est parfaitement d’actualité, car c’est dès à présent qu’il faut recycler, la structure décorative de cette usine est joliment décoré, de plus tu as su profiter d’une foule de détaille haut en couleur de ce bâtiment quelque peut hétéroclite et d’un ciel avantageux pour donné un rendu naturel et un p‘tit quelque chose d’antagonique à la chose, chose qui à le mérite d’être original, bien amicalement

I love Hundertwasser! And I lived in Vienna for 6 months and never visited this place. It's always like this, we save it always for a later date and when we leave we feel sad about those missed chances. Love your photo. Great pov towards the subject. The way you caught it from one of the corners is very effective showing the structure in almost real 3D. Colors and light is very good. I miss a person here but that lonely bicycle is a nice substitute in the role of giving some scale to this. Great shot!

Hi Harko.
Thanks for your comment about my Hundertwasser picture. My other pictures are not very good as the sun was right opposite the lens (I'll go again to Plochingen).
Your picture really shows an amazing Hundertwasser building! Absolutely no doubt about the architecte ;-)
Wien is an fantastic city when it come to art and architecture.
Thanks for sharing
Tony
