Photographer’s Note
After one week of holiday must I realize – I’m way behind: There loads of letters – mails – news papers, taped TV-programs and a lot of photos on TE which I now should try to catch up with.
If I decide to post just 1% of the pictures taken in this week – there will be at least 20 pictures from Zillertal, Austria on TE ;-) Well let’s see - they are not that good.
My family and I got a good offer for a nice apartment, very close to the skiing facilities – and as you can see from the picture – they surely kept their promise – lol.
Ok – no more joking – This little Hut was situated on the most windy spot on Hochzillertal and I guess, used as shelter for workers or to supervise the lifts in the area.
I rotated the picture 1.2 deg CCW in order to make the roof appear horizontal (but I’m not sure if it was so ;-) Otherwise resizing, normal settings for light, contrast and colours – and a light sharpening of snow texture.
Second note! Im not sure about the temperature at this spot - but 500 meters below it was -4 deg.
I was using zoom in order to get this photo and there's a cliff on my right side sending a lot snow in the picture - seen as "dust"

I like this windy top, and the way the clouds blend into the snow. Very nice light and contrast. Very well done.

Crisp and clear with very good texture in the snow. Some more image to the right would have been good, so the nice slowly sloping line of the snowdrift could have a little more space to run out as contrast to that fine S-line to the left. There is some "dirt" in the sky, is this a scanned papercopy?

I like it, it seems like sand but its snow i know.
I like the snow dust and the little hut too, but it seems to be misplaced.

I like very much your photo and I find the excellent composition IMHO. Colours are magnificent, this mixture of blue, clouds and snow with this small hut is a perfect marriage. Good return in the normal life, I wait for the other photos...
J'aime beaucoup votre photo et je trouve la composition excellente IMHO. Les couleurs sont superbes, ce mélange de bleu, de nuages et de neige avec cette petite cabane est un mariage parfait. Bon retour à la vie normale, j'attends les autres photos...

Very nice athmosphere sht, I can feel the cold wind blowing..., I like also the sharp detailed ice surface.
there is some noise in the sky (?), but still grat one!

Very good shot Jeppe. Your composition is wonderful as the various "shapes" of the colors allow us to lead our eyes to the small "apartment". The clouds are chiming in with the ice. I'm looking forward to more of this kind of shot from you.

Welcome back, yes a few of us noticed you were missing. I like your Austrian holiday accomodation - even with the "noise" in the otherwise beautiful blue sky. Nice texture to the snow - one can feel the wind up there.
Your titles really get us all to take a closer look.

La texture du sol est très belle avec ces petites courbes qui donnent un bon relief à la photo.
La place maîtresse est bien tenue avec la maison qui se retrouve en valeur.

Very nice picture, snow drift seem to be quite heavy up there. I love the composition, just what's needed to feel the cold and the win. I was happy to read that you didn't have to sleep there.........
