Photographer’s Note
Located in the giant wooded park and fairground known as the Prater, Vienna’s Giant Ferris Wheel is one of Austria’s best-known and best-loved landmarks. The Ferris Wheel was completed in 1897 at a time when other such ferris wheels stood in cities like London, Paris and Blackpool, but it is the only one of its era still surviving. Constructed to celebrate the 50th jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph I, several unusual events have taken place on the wheel, most notably the suicide of local resident Marie Kindl, who hanged herself from the window of a car in 1898 to draw attention to the economical plight of her family. After dark, the wheel lights up and acts as a giant clock for the city by flashing the correct number of times on the hour.

Ciao Paolo,
E dove la Sardinia ???
Interesting shot through the wires, focusing here may have been a bit tricky, I like the vertical firmat usage here that gives a better sensation of height.
Have a nice day,
jean-Yves

ciao paolo, interesting story and - sorry to say that - nearly as interesting photo; it does not reflect what you describe in the note; personally i do not understand the bunch of steel lines and wires crossing the frame, and in the far end just a few buses waiting for what?
i hope you have not got offended by my critique but in my opinion you can do better than that;
looking forward to your style' pics;
best wishes, jerzy

Hi Paolo,
Good idea. You took this photo from the top of the giant wheel. Good POV (of course), sharpness and perspective. Well done.
Ciao

Non e' un posto adatto per chi soffre di vertigini come me! So pero' di perdermi la possibilita' di ammirare dei bei panorami e di scattare delle belle foto. Come questa.
Ciao Paolo

Hi Paolo,
This is a composition with so much to see and the lines of the structure makes it so busy. The overall bluish grey helps to soothe the eyes. I like the clarity and mood you are able to capture with this POV. Well done!! Regards.

Hi Paolo;
I have to admit, I really wasn't sure what this was until I opened the thumbnail. The lines and structure make for a very interesting photo... nicely done!

very interesting and original composition with interesting graphism. Nevertheless, I don't think the wide blue/grey frame adds anything positive to your picture and it may be better without it, but it's no more than a personnal opinion !
Thanks for sharing !
