Photographer’s Note

Visitors to Mozart's city, Salzburg, usually climb to the hill where stands "Festung Hochensalzburg "or the fortress od Salzburg. People can also take the " Festungsbahn "train. to get there if they wish. I wanted to have a look at this very special place from which great views of the city can be
enjoyed. But I found other angles too. I was attracted by the roof which framed the tower
when suddenly two visitors appeared in the lower-left corner: I had the time to take two exposures only. This is one of them.

Bonjour Izzet et merci de ton mail ..
Tu sais qu'avant de regarder où était prise cette photo , j'ai essayé de deviner. Je croyais que c'était Lhasa, évidemment en l'ouvrant l'on voit aussitot que le mur n'est pas blanchi et qu'il ne s'agit pas du Tibet, je ne sais pourquoi, sans doute à cause de certaines images de lhasa que j'ai et de ce ciel dense.

Ta compositipn est ici superbe. J'adore comment cette ombre épouse la forme du chateau. et évidemment la cerise sur le gateau avec ces deux personnes ...

Very interesting and almost experimental shot, Izzet!

this is very nice, excellent game of shadows - those silhouettes in the corner, especially the hat, are incredible. very nice composition and light, very good stuff

Magnifique pdv en contre-plongée, qui rend l'image difficile à lire au premier abord, mais très intéressante à déchiffrer au final. La géométrie générale est belle et le jeu des ombres et lumières bien réussi. Les deux silhouettes sombres apportent beaucoup à l'ensemble. Bien vu !

alors là, chapeau bas Monsieur Izzet! les ombres sont extraordinaires.. pour commencer celle du batiment mais plus encore ces deux personnages qui entrent dans la photo et donnent un coté thriller ou film noir... merveilleux accord de bleu, de beige et de noir!

j'ai vide toutes mes cartouches avec tes photos...à suivre...

Wow, I have been to this fortress twice in my life thus far but this is by far the most unique shot I've seen to date. The composition is superb and I especially love the use of shadows which create such interesting shapes. Hope you'll forgive me if I try to improvise on this for my shots in the future.
