Stampfanger is a pretty little pilgrimage church atop a rock at the foot of the Hohe Salve. It was first constructed in 1660, then rebuilt in 1757. At that time the simple, octagonal central part of the building was enlarged with the sanctuary containing the altar; and the tower (after its prior elevation) was adorned with an onion-shaped dome.

The point of view makes the most of this chapel's precarious position. Nice contrast between light and dark. Nicely composed.

What an original place to build a chapel!
I like the POV you choose.

A good point of view for this little church on a rock. It stands out well against the dark forest behind.
