Photographer's Note

This is the Holy Trinity Column, one of the tourist attractions in Klagenfurt.

Originally built at Heiligengeistplatz square of the city, the Trinity column today stands pretty in the Alter Platz Square. According to historians, the Trinity column of Klagenfurt was erected in 1680.
The half moon and cross were added after the victory over the Turks in 1683.

The wonderful wooden structure was built to remember the massive plague, which broke out during the 17th century in the city. With time, the tower was renovated and reconstructed before it was shifted to Alter Platz Square of Klagenfurt in 1965.
