In my previous post a couple was admiring the view view at Idalp at height of 2 320 meters in the Silvretta Area, the Ischgl-Samnaun ski area on the Austrian-Swiss border. This is the view they are admiring. The mountain is Fluchthorn, the second highest mountain in the Silvretta range. The height is of 3,399 m.

This is exactly where the snow should be! Here you can use it for something useful and here it also looks very beautiful. Snow in cities and along roads seem quite useless and unnecessary right now. But here the snow has a very good purpose. A beautiful picture!

You will always find me enthusiast with such a views!
As I quoted in my intro, to me Nature is the sole artist and I think it's a sign of intelligence and sensitivity to appreciate the spectacle she offers to us.
In this photo you exploited well the diagonal created by the first mountain profile at the left and so the image has a good depth and moviment. The very fine clarity and the splendid light make it impossible not to enjoy it.

An excellent mountain's view with this landscape covered of snow. The top of these mountains give a very graphic affect in the beautiful sky well collected too. Excellent depht too and white color of the snow well exposed. The peoples give an interesting idea of the scale of the place.
Have a nice day,

I always think: how difficult it must be to photograph snowy mountains! on the one hand, there's mainly snow around... but on the other hand, snow can have so many various slight colour shades!
I like this composition in bluish tone. This really a scene to admire :) But it looks rather cold ;)
Best wishes from (also) cold, frosty Moscow,

is there any oxygen left there? A phantastic panorama with fine shades - and excellent slopes.

A "wuthering hights" like the famous book title, and what a marvelous view from, Ulf.
Well set the shutter and F number, to balance the ice shine on.
Superbly taken with the distant summit most attractive element, to my humble opinion.
Have a nice Sunday,
