Panorama Hochtor Photo

Photographer’s Note

The "Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse" is a touristic road (for which you have to pay 26 € / car) and major austrian tourist attraction that links the lands of Salzburg and Kaernten, the alternatives being several tunnels.
Coming from the city of Zell am See on the north side after two days of heavy rain, we have reached the park entrance as the clouds were clearing revealing some nice mountain views.
Driving uphill, the weather remained mostly heavily cloudy until we reached "Hochtor" (2504m), the highest point of the road and the border between the lands Salzburg and Kaernten. Then the clouds vanished and we discovered this view.

Tomorrows forecast is 38c, & today it was 31c in Brisbane, so this type of image is nice to see on a hot day. Good choice for a panoramic format, with superb sharpness. Tres bon!

Bonjour Jean-Yves,
Très belle réussite technique (panorama).
Merci également de nous avoir évité de débourser 26 euros pour admirer ce paysage grandiose.
L'impression d'être sur place est étonnante, mes yeux se déplacent de gauche à droite sans arrêt pour ne rien manquer du spectacle. Je respire fort et brûle mes poumons de l'air pur.
Et ces petits nuages légers, vaporeux, sont un véritable délice de réalité.

Hi Jean Yves, very nice panorama!
Now is surely a snow tempest upon the Grossglockner, but this summer image (and in the LP version even better) is sharp, full of details and give the sensation of the vastness of this place.
I will visit it!!

Un coin sauvage et froid qui est parfaitement mis en scène par cette compo panoramique. Belle perspective sur la route et ses lacets... Bien vu!

A very nice mountain landscape Jean Yves, the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse is lovely road, Austria is a beautiful country, in Europe we everywhere must pay on the ways. Great depth and very nice of colours.

You had to see the big one, the little one is nothing, but the LP photo is fantastic, it look on a 3 D photo, those nice lines made a wonderfull depth, a fantastic colours, I must say it Waaauw, very good job

Très beau travail, la composition est parfaite, détaillé, bref une qualité supérieure.
Choix excellents qui nous font découvrir ce magnifique paysage. Ca vaut bien les 26€

panorama magnifique de cette région d'Autriche. L'exposition parfaite à sut parfaitement restituer les contrastes entre la neige, l'herbe et le ciel.
Quelques nuages viennent plaisamment agrémenter le ciel tandis que la route guide notre regard.

Panorama magnifique que j'aurais aimé contempler en large view, mais ça n'a pas l'air possible actuellement. C'est du très bon travail.

How nice to be able to see this wonderful landscape in panorama !
One can feel the fresh air and the cool breeze .
I was there many years ago , but as I said : it's nice to see it in a way I nave not seen it before !
