Photographer’s Note
This is maybe my best nature photo so far.
It was nice to see them in the wilderness of the alps, where almost 40.000 of their species live these days.
This flock included round about 30 animals and they lay right on our path at an altitude of circa 2400m in the Ochsental, a valley in the very west of Austria. We were too scared to pass them closely on the path so we decided to circle them by walking, almost climbing almost 100ft below the actual track. Anyways, the shot turned out clear and nice, especially with the dark background.

Hi Andreas,
Good shot. Climbing in the Alps is even more fun when we run into animals (other than the human kind!).
