Photographer’s Note
This is another semi-oldie from the pre-digital era :)
This is Michaelerkirche (St. Michael's church).
It is a scanned photo, and I can not say any good words about the quality of its colours and the technical quality of the original negative.
Anyway in PP after scanning I did my very best to adjust the colours (the original shot has a strange pinkish tint) and remove dust & scratch, and noise (+ a slight lens distortion correction).
The photo was taken with a very simple, absolutely automatic no-zoom Samsung camera. And the quality of the film was not the best.
Why have I posted this photo here, then?
Well, I have found quite a few photos of Michaelerkirche (St. Michael's church) on TE, but no photos taken from this POV. So I decided to post it - for a change.
I wish everyone a nice Sunday! :)
=============================================
The Michaelerkirche, dedicated to the Archangel Michael, is one of the oldest churches in Vienna.
Over its long history, spanning more than eight centuries, this church has incorporated a medley of architectonic styles.
The church is a late Romanesque, early Gothic building dating from about 1220-1240. There is a document, stating 1221 as the foundation date of the church, but this is most probably a 14th century forgery.

Hello Elena
You are really putting down this photo but it is not too bad. It has many interesting lines, good pov and the colours seem quite natural. Only the sky seems a little washed out but I guess it was an overcast day. Tfs, Marlene

Hi Elena,
The quality of this scan is surely good enough! The composition here with the church at the center and different angles of the surrounding hoses is also very good. This is a very fine street scene with an excellent POV!
Kind regards

Hello Elena,
There is still a slightly pinkish tone to parts of this picture, but that is part of its "ancient", pre-digital charm. The slightly cubistic composition of the buildings is very attractive and makes this more than just another picture of houses. The two people in the lower corner may be small but play major roles for the composition.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Elena,
You have made a very good PP work with this scan. I find the colours quite natural and pleasant. Also the POV is excellent and the composition is attractive with lines going in various directions. TFS!
Have a nice Sunday evening,

Hi Elena,
I like the quality of this film image. Still good after these years and you have captured well placing the building in the FG. The subject is anchored well in this tall frame presentation. Good sharpness, details and depth of the shot.
TFS and have a nice day.

Hello my dear Elena
Nice calm color, splendid stable composition as usual !
For me it does not seem to be taken ten years ago.
But scnaned photo color is special taste different from digital one, I still like 35mm result.
Best regards and thanks for sharing

dear Elena,
perhaps the recent view of Vienna is not so different from that of 10 years ago, because the old town does not change rapidly.
and as for 800 pixels picture, the scanned image is not so different from direct digital image, in my feeling, the efficiency of both the camera and the scanner is not so significant than the performance of the PC edition.
anyway, Vienna is excellent city, and you captured its unchangeable charming view well.
the attractive music is always matching this ideal City.
thank you,
Akihisa

hi Teacher
доброе утро
I like this presentation, very neat and showing little distortion. The row of yellow buildings is a good inclusion for this POV, which makes all the difference to a photo. Perhaps the light and sky is not attractive but there is not OE or UE here to make it less pleasant.
Good work.

The scan is not bad and you certainly cleaned the shot with care. The sky is a bit washed out, but you can't win them all.

Hi Elena,
Aunque hace 10 años, muy buen tratamiento,
me gusta esa originalidad de colores vivos en las fachadas,
no parece pre-digital, buen trabajo!
Warm Regards from Spain,
Elena

Оригинальный вариант снимка этой церквушки, да. Вроде сто раз ее видел со ста POVов, а вот этот как-то упущен был.
Для сканированного снимка - замечательное качество!

The sky is a bit grey, but I like the composition with the diffeerent buildings, and the church's tower in the background.
All the best,
Emmanuel
