Between lunch and supper .. Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a view of the restaurant of an old inn in a small Austrian village - in the afternoon. Partenen is the last village of Montafon valley in the very south of the federal state Vorarlberg in an altitude of 1.050 meters.
I think it's a really cosy room - featured with a lot of wooden paneling and furniture.
Right hand you can see the regular's table where the notabilities and other "important" people of the village use to meet, drink a beer and play cards.

I'll never forget the fresh chanterelles in cream sauce with bread dumplings there ... ;-)

hallo Frank,

ich kann es mir vorstellen, wie gut du gegessen hast. Ich bin auch oft in solchen Stuben...wo man ausgezeichneten Suppen und Fleischgerichten bekommen kannst.
tja...du warst dort im Sommer...ich bin dagegen oft im Winter...und es ist Hirschzeit...mit blaubeeren und sauercreme gekocht! mmmm lecker!

What a beautiful little restaurant of that old inn. All those details are charming. You have managed this interior photo admirably. The composition, light control, colours, sharpness, all are stupendous. My mouth is watering of thinking your delicious meal! :-) Thanks for sharing.

Looks a very cosy place. Good point of view and very good rendering of the tones in the woodwork. In fact, the whole of the interior is beautifully captured under a pleasing ambient light. Excellent colours and clarity.

I like this inviting traditional setting, so full of interesting details...
I notice that someone has this cozy Stammtisch in the corner!

Guten Morgen Frank,

I like always of a nice interior picture, and certainly with this old interior.
Austrian villages and the village in Germany are maybe not a lot difference, when I read about your eat than get I hungry.
Composition and colours are very nice, pleasant for look it.

Hi Frank!!
what a perfect description of a typical Austian restaurant! I could guess to have already eaten there their very good food.
I would have to go to Austria more often, it is a country where everything and every place is so enjoyable.

Hi Frank. Thank you for showing this real jewel. Technically fantastic, difficult lighting but you have got all the fine details perfectly. I personally miss WorkShop with other views of interior, perhaps some close-ups and certainly I miss a good photo of above mentioned food. I hope you can correct that in the nearest future. It's easy to imagine the corner bench and it's table in an eating corner of a forest house.

ein wunderbar eingerichteter Berggasthof. Obwohl weder Wirt noch Gast anwesend, die Stimmung ist so warm und einladend, dass man am liebsten gleich hinlaufen möchte.

P.S.: Pfifferlinge in Rahmsauce mit Knödel - mir scheint, ein ähnliches Gericht habe ich schon vor Dir auf dem Tisch gesehen.
