Photographer’s Note
Yesterday I showed you pictures of the tiny chapel "Maria Schnee" (Mary in the snow) in the Austrian village Gaschurn.
Here I show you the most precious artwork in this chapel, a "Gnadenbild", that means approximately - "a painting of grace". It still today is visited by pilgrims and other believers who ask for support there.
This - I think - impressive painting dates from 17th century.

Hello Frank,
I suppose this is a typical motif for church art, and I notice also the impressive golden frame!
Depicting artwork is difficult as the light temperature is so important for correct reproduction of the colours, this seems fine to me but I guess you have to know the original to be sure...
Well framed, good details!
