Photographer’s Note

This is the old vicarage belonging to the cathedral St. Nikolaus of the small Austrian town Feldkirch, situated in the federal state Vorarlberg at the Swiss frontier. The cathedral is most significant and the biggest Gothic church of Vorarlberg.

The first vicarage here was mentioned already in 1340 but the today's building shown in my photo was built in 1673. The municipality then also bought the surrounding properties there in order to built built canon (priest) houses for all the clergy of the town.

The powerline left top ? ... well - it was there ... ;-))

Another lovely picture out of your neighbour country Austria.
We get a wonderful front of this old vicarage, excellent upkeep, nice of colours and very well presentation

Hello Frank,
I see that you reach for photoes from the past summer. Surely similarly as me, you are already a little starve ... At all events photographs performed in July last year can warm us. That is so and at this time: lively colours, clear lights and plastic shadows. Every bit of it together creates the deft photograph. The vicarage is really very nice and beautifully well-kept.

This is a great architecture shot. The artwork of the building is nice and you have presented it nicely. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail. The deep blue sky provide a nice backdrop for the scene. I guess you could have cloned out the powerline, but your right, it was there.

ist das wirklich nur ein bescheidenes Pfarrhaus? Anderswo wäre es die Residenz des Landgrafen! Mir gefällt die Verzierung sehr gut.
