Photographer’s Note

Yesterday I showed you the church of the village Partenen in the Austrian federal state Vorarlberg.
Here I show you the chancel with the high altar of this little church St. Martin, which in its today shape was built about 1800. The late baroque decoration artistically perhaps isn't of higher value but I think that one can feel a deep religiousness here - in a village with about 500 inhabitants - a somehow touching religiousness which presumably also is caused by the giant nature with all its threats around. Please see here.
In workshop you can see a statue of the patron saint, St. Martin, in one of the side altars and one of the ceiling paintings.

Zusatz für Mesut Ilgim: Ich hoffe, dass Dir diese kleine Dorfkirche nicht ZU überladen und verschnörkelt erscheint. Ich finde, der Prunk hier ist erträglich ;-))
