The sighting of the Madlenerhaus (1986m) marked the near end of a beautiful day of hiking from Vermuntsee-Kromertal-Saarbrücker Hütte-Tschifernella-Madlenerhaus-Silvrettasee. Took this image during a short rest by the beautiful and clear stream. A short while later and from higher elevation I saw plenty of fish swimming about. It made me wonder how great the fishing would be.
First opened in 1882.
Lies off the Silvretta high alpine road in a quiet location close to the Silvretta lake/dam, surrounded by a panorama of three thousand meter peaks.
Saw photos of American author Hemingway on the wall. I guess Hemingway was there too. There is in fact a lounge named after him at the hut.

What a sight. This it is not possible to present the beautiful place at this with a more expressive photo. The composition demonstrates the distances and the depths wonderfully, the tiny building is the chattiest one regarding the sizes however. Romanticism streams from the photo. Great shot! Have a nice weekend!

I'm enthusiastic! You know, why. Your photo shows Madlenerhaus from an exceptional and uncommon angle.
It looks like being situated in absolute calmness. I like this composition with the natural foreground - this little gulch, very much.
Greetings from cold Germany - with some snowflakes!

Hi Latiff, Wonderful shot of this area. I know it from driving the Silvertta roadway. You have captured a delightful view of this house and the beautiful mountains. Great massive rock with the earth tones reflecting in the water. I would guess there is excellent fishing here. I fished in Austria for many years, but mostly in the Salzkammergut and Oberoesterrich. Regards, Roger.

It's a very fine capture that gives good idea of the place. It's of great interest to me - some time ago I've seen it from a higher elevation, but could not see any fish;-))
Remarkable colors, the excellent dof with the peak on the horizon, and the reflection in the water, make your photo a masterpiece of mountain viewing.

Thanks for introducing me to the Madlenerhaus. I had no idea, that it exists, however I was not so often in Austria. You are discovering parts of Europe which I have never seen. Why not, that's the best what we can get from globalization, to mix with different cultures. The house is towering above the steep valley, it looks great up there, but trekking there can take many hours, isn't it? Fine composition with vibrant colors and high sharpness. Well done
