Photographer’s Note
The month of May was quite a busy one for us. Well, actually, I haven't had a "not busy" month for quite a while. :-)
So on this wonderful Thursday, it was a real treat to find a few free hours to get out and relax. What a beautiful afternoon we had!
My son Mark is always saying that there's nothing to photograph around here. Well, he's right - this is nothing. It's just a field, a shed, some trees, some mountains and some clouds. No big deal. But isn't it a magnificent nothing? :-)
This field is in the town called Haldensee in Austria (only a short a drive from our home), which actually has a beautiful lake, also called the Haldensee. I've got some good ones from that lake too, but I wanted to share this one first because I love the feeling here. It makes me feel like singing, "I feel good! Da, da, da, da, da da! I knew that I would! ...." :-) Those clouds were sent just for me, because someone up there knows how I love those puffy ones!!
The town of Haldensee is part of the Tannheimer Tal and, together with the town of Grän, it boasts a population of 579! The elevation is 1134 meters above sea level, which is just a bit higher than here where we live. It's obviously a very rural area with lots of farming but also a place that tourists like to see.

Ciao Linda,
Is this nothing? a show of the nature near house, me when I go out I have the nothing or buildings drawn by the strangest architects that a child would perhaps draw better. here then that you have a treasure near house

It's good to see a new post from you Linda. And it's a gorgeous 'nothing'. Although the addition of the shed and the house is great it would have been good without them too. Your low POV accentuates th wild flowers, and as you say yourself, the clouds are wonderful. I'll take 'nothing' if this is it!

A magnificent nothing, I agree with you.
When you have a beautiful bridge or castle in front of you, it is quite easy to make a good shot (let's say a correct one;-)
But when you have "nothing", it's much more difficult.
Here, you don't have nothing. You have a lovley landscape, with a beautiful sky, the little wooden house and the flowers to make your composition idyllic.
What more would you like?? Nothing;-)
Take care and a big hug,
Marianne

hi Linda,
somethimes "nothing" can be quite "something" :) as Kath says, the low point of view emphasises yellow flowers in the foreground, I like that a lot, I find the unpretentious flowers go well with the simple composition. the photo feels a little dark though, I might trying to adjust brightness on a separate layer to avoid overexposing clouds. minor point though, I do like the shot and the calm mood it creates.
best,
Kristine

Liebe Linda! Was meinst Du, August, z.B. der 6.8.
