Photographer’s Note

The month of May was quite a busy one for us. Well, actually, I haven't had a "not busy" month for quite a while. :-)

So on this wonderful Thursday, it was a real treat to find a few free hours to get out and relax. What a beautiful afternoon we had!

My son Mark is always saying that there's nothing to photograph around here. Well, he's right - this is nothing. It's just a field, a shed, some trees, some mountains and some clouds. No big deal. But isn't it a magnificent nothing? :-)

This field is in the town called Haldensee in Austria (only a short a drive from our home), which actually has a beautiful lake, also called the Haldensee. I've got some good ones from that lake too, but I wanted to share this one first because I love the feeling here. It makes me feel like singing, "I feel good! Da, da, da, da, da da! I knew that I would! ...." :-) Those clouds were sent just for me, because someone up there knows how I love those puffy ones!!

The town of Haldensee is part of the Tannheimer Tal and, together with the town of Grän, it boasts a population of 579! The elevation is 1134 meters above sea level, which is just a bit higher than here where we live. It's obviously a very rural area with lots of farming but also a place that tourists like to see.
