Photographer’s Note
Penkensee, a small lake/reservoir atop the mountain near Penkenjochhaus (2095 m) in the Penken Alps. It overlooks the Zillertal Alps on the other side. Taken from a high altitude trail from Penkenalm to Lanersbach. It was autumn but there was snow at this level. Don’t know if it snows in autumn at this height but the snow looks & feels soft & fresh to me. The Tuxal Tal, which is not far from here, is well developed for summer as well as winter skiing. Weather wasn't too good for hiking as you can see from the clouds. It rained intermittently all the way but not too heavy and still allowed some photography. Had to constantly wipe away water droplets & moistures from the camera filter. For more pictures of what can be seen from this trail click here. Will add more photos to the group.
Spanning the Austrian–Italian border, the Zillertal embraces stunning green valleys headed by scores of shapely peaks of rock and snow. The village of Mayrhofen is a good location to base yourself for day hikes in the Zillertall Alps.

Hi Latiff,
it´s an essential landscape, pure, and I like it better with the overcast sky than with sunshine. Good one !
Compliments, Christian

Hi Latiff,
Your well balanced frame really eye catching with its private colors and tones. Excellent ratio for reserving more space for lake and splendid reflection of snowy mountain. Mat reflection, yellow grasses are very good addition under gray sky. Congratulations.
Best Regards,

Latiff,
This is a well composed shot using the reflection to create balance and symmetry. The inclusion of the shoreline in the foreground helps gives the shot depth. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

hi Latiff
Wow! Very calm and peaceful still water, the rain probably gives the stillness afterwards. Very good color contrast and a finely composed view with snow and grass in FG, good mountain across and the reflection. You have done well for this capture.

Salam Latiff,
i dont know what to say. I have seen the Alps myself when I was in Montreaux Suisse a few years ago. It is a wonderful sight you have here.
Great composition with foreground, the still water really captivating and the mountain itself, icy and beautiful. All the beauty in a photo, clarity crispay image etc.
Thanks for your workshop on my padifields. They are useful and have changed from not so good to a better one. Thanks.
Really brilliant piece of skill manifested here.

Hi Latiff. This horizontal perspective landscape is well composed. I like the foreground bank with some snow and brown grass giving good contrast with clear water and reflection of the alps. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hello Latiff,
for an Austrian landscape quite unusual colours - but they work! I must admit that the otherwise ugly grey sky is in this case perfect as well. Of course the reflection is nice but would not be enough to produce such a unique and excellent picture. Somehow the synergy of the components (composition, colours, lights) gives a miraculous effect. Very, very good, congratulations!

Hi Latiff,
Quite a special reflection showing just a top of that mountain. I like the foreground too, they make together a special composition. Yes that snow is definitely new, and so high you can get it any time of the year if weather gets bad.

Bonjour Latiff
Merci pour ta visite. Celà m'a donné l'occasion de faire un tour dans ta galerie. Mon choix s'est arrêté sur ce joli paysage montagneux enneigé. C'est du bon travail.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hi Latiff,
I do not know where in the world you caught this magnificent photo but I really think this is a perfect shoot. I see that you do owned a Minolta XGM SLR before. This is a perfect camera and I have tried to look for your posting for photos caught by this camera, unfortunately I can't find it. Is it possible that you can give me a link to one of this picture to fullfill my thirst of the quality of the photo?

Hello latiff. Your subjective photographic view for the things in the world is interesting. Everyone has its own aspect. The photo with the winter landscape has much peace and strength. Composition and colors are impressing. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

For someone like me who have been exclusively shooting rainforest and tropical ranges, seeing this work of reflection, can be said out of my world right now. It's surreal and something I might see from 3D editors.
I liked the idea of sandwiching the lake with the snow patched brown grassy bank and the Zillertal. And the attitude of the sky set the emotional tone of this work.

Bani
