Photographer’s Note
To all my TE friends!
Finally,I went through some of my recent traveling photos and able to start posting some of them.
A very beautiful, in place and history, place - Hohenwerfen Castle 57 km south of Salzburg, Austria.
Originally built in 1077 by Archbishop Gebhard of Helfenstein,it was,in 1525, taken over by artisans and peasants and destroyed and burnt down.It took artisans and peasants more then 20 years to rebuilt this castle - they were punished in such a way by Archbishop for disobedience.
It was,in ancient times, the second most important castle next to Hohensalzburg Fortress that barred the Lueg Pass.
It has belltower with a small chapel with romantic columns and serves nowadays as a museum and historical place that attracts a lot of people.
To be continued...
Enjoy,
Mike :-)

Hi Mike,
a beautiful shot of the majestic castle! Great sharpness and a splendid spotless blue sky... I like also the POV and the cut showing the castle on the top of the hill but relativating it showing the steep slopes on both sides: after all it's not the highest point...
Kind regards,
Guenther

Hello Mike,
Very beautiful and colourful picture. I like how the towers rise out from the forest, the long wall climbing up the hill and on top the majestic castle towering in that blue sky.
Best regards, Paul
