Photographer’s Note

Lake Zeller or Zeller See (click on map left) is a small freshwater lake in the Austrian Alps. It takes its name from the resort of Zell am See which is located on a small delta protruding into the lake. The lake is 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) long and 1.5 kilometres (1 mile) wide. It is up to 69 metres deep and at an elevation of 750 metres above sea level.

My former picture of Zeller See shows the southern part of the lake while this one with more life on the water was taken of the northern part.

Hallo Laszlo!
Wieder ein schönes friedliches Landschaftsbild - in natürlichen Farben. Gut macht sich hier das Spiel von Licht und Schatten auf der Landschaft. Die Aufteilung von Wasser und Landschaft/Himmel ist wieder sehr interessant - "funktioniert" aber.

Mucha belleza en una sóla mirada. Estupenda toma con gran profundidad y magníficos colores naturales. Me gusta la presencia de las aves en el lago y las ondas perfectamente definidas del agua. Buen trabajo amigo.

Látom, nagyon szép helyeken jártál május elején, ezeket a képeiden keresztül remekül át is tudod adni.
Nagyon tetszik a kompozíció, jól elrendezett az előtér és a háttér is. Szépek a színek és kiváló az élesség is.

Szia Laszlo,
im Gegensatz zum ersten Bild vom Zeller See finde ich dieses interessant, die Einleitung mit den Wasservögeln und den Stegen in der guten Oberfläche ist ansprechend für mich. Schade, dass die Schärfentiefe am Schiff wohl wegen der Bewegung nicht passt un die Berggipfel leicht überbelichtet erscheinen. Der Blick in das Tal ist schön.

Very nice shot of this lake with the geese and boat. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. I will be in Salzburg in just over 3 weeks and hope to take some shots of scenes like this one. How do you compress your shots to keep the size as large as this?

Da ist ja alles auf dem Foto, was man sich als Fotograph wünscht, der Schwan, das Schiff, die Wellen des Sees und die Berge. Wunderbare Aufnahme mit guten Farben.

bellissimo lago con il cigno in primo piamo e un fantastico scenario di montagne sullo sfondo.
personalmente non avrei incluso la nave nella scena.
