Photographer's Note
A view of the fortress of Salzburg, the Festung Hohensalzburg. Some bell flowers growing on a castle wall caught my attention. In the background the Austrian flag flies above the the Trumpeter's Tower. The castle was completed around 1500, after several centuries of additions and improvements. It is a complex of many buildings, and you can spend a whole day exploring it and looking at the great views it affords of the surrounding countryside.
