Photographer’s Note

Salzburg is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. Salzburg's "Old Town" (Altstadt) with its world famous baroque architecture is one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting. It is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for parts of the musical and film The Sound of Music, which features famous landmarks in Austria, but focuses mainly on Salzburg. Salzburg is a student city, with three universities.

this is so beautiful! :-) excellent pov and composition with the pretty, old and colorful building, the surrounding green trees
and bushes and the high mountains in the background all together under a nice blue sky and shown in a really wonderful light.

This was taken from a spot that I did not find on my trip to Salzburg, but will definitely search for on my next visit. Your composition is great with the off center placement of the castle on the left and the overhanging tree providing balance from the right. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The fine blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the shot.
