Photographer's Note

The Klagenfurt Dragon monument was built in 1590, and currently presides in the centre of the town square in Klagenfurt, Austria. The scene portrays a naked giant with a spiked club who is just about to slay a spitting dragon (fire in the legend, water in the monument).
The Klagenfurt Dragon is more than just as an impressive figure carved from a solid piece of slate. This particular dragon is mythological, but it's also very much based on reality. Many sources were suggesting that the Klagenfurt Lindwurm could be the first known European reconstruction of an extinct animal.
